The Aqua Instructor will teach aquatic classes to members and guests within AEA guidelines and will be responsible for all assigned classes. This position will maintain records for individual classes and attendance, stay current with latest research on exercise and accumulate 15 CEC's every 2 years. Individual must demonstrate accountability by avoiding missed classes and if necessary, seek substitute instructors in advance. Participate in departmental meetings on a quarterly basis and training sessions on a scheduled basis. Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures including the use of the facility paging system. Work towards meeting departmental and organizational goals and represent the organization in a professional and positive manner. Individual should be a team player with the commitment to be flexible and accommodating to the hours we serve our members and the desire to contribute to the team effort.

Requirements include but are not limited to:
• High School diploma
• Current certification by a recognized national organization such as AEA
• 2-5 years experience teaching aquatics preferred.
• CPR/AED certification
• Must be outgoing, personable and have the ability to motivate members and actively teach assigned courses
• Dependability and neatness
