Paulo Andre Poli De Figueiredo & Ilana Finkelstein
Ilana Finkelstein and Paulo Andre Poli De Figueiredo, the dynamic duo from Brazil, both hold a Masters Degree in Human Movement Science and are members of GPTA (research group of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil). Paulo focused his studies on electromyography and Ilana on exercise and pregnancy.
Paulo and Ilana worked together on several groundbreaking research projects that have benefited the water fitness industry. These include:

Paulo and Ilana are physical education teachers, specialists in Sports Medicine and School Health and are directors of the Acqualita Fitness Center in Brazil. They are popular presenters at the International Aquatic Fitness Conference (IAFC) and valuable members of the Aquatic Exercise Association Research Committee. Paulo has also published books on Baby Swimming and Ai Chi.
